Cyclical thoughts on very important theory

Do you ever feel conflicted about a subject or a concept, a particular frame of mind?  When you feel like you can argue both sides well? When alternate perspectives make sense and resonate with your soul? What do you do?
I am in a quandary and would love to hear your conclusion.

The statement:

Wherever you go, there you are

Messes with my head

Ties me in knots.
Makes my brain turn somersaults.

I can sit and debate it with myself for hours and I have been known to support both sides in conversation. I have researched and listened to pod-casts supporting the prism of thought on this and similar subjects

Like I said….

Conflicted.

On one side:
YOU are the consistent factor in your life; your filters are in place no matter the situation (I use the  word You as a general term, including me, not pointing fingers at the reader) Your perspectives and past remain in place. So, change the scenery, but the goggles stay the same. Always a tinged hue.  So… wherever you are…. There you are. Seems like the same situations or end results are the same. Both positive and negative. We all know people that no matter where they are they blossom and others... well.... don't. You can move to Schenectady but you packed your bags and stored them under your bed.
Do we bring out people’s reactions to us?
Does our aura affect our area?
We find the same type of friends, solicit the same type of customer service, handle the same conflicts, enjoy each day in the same manner, deal with the same thoughts and emotions no matter what.  Right?
My conclusion on this side is -  location is not an issue….  Grow where you are planted, Thrive, Find opportunity in your life and make it great. Make lemonade outta lemons, baby.
Wherever you go, there you are.

On the other side:
Circumstance is a powerful venue to both delight and chagrin. If you try and try again and give it one more push and still you cannot the fight the suffocation…. Get outta there. Cut that tree off at its roots.
If something looks good and brings you life and creativity, speaks to your soul and even in the hard times you have the energy to conquer…. You stay and settle down for the long haul. And grow.
Wherever you go, there you are… so make sure that where you are is exactly where you should be. Period. Life is what you make it and you can choose, as a human, where you make it.
My conclusion here is -  Life sucks and then you die. So, get a move on. Make life what you want it to be.

I want to suggest that perhaps there is a balance. That each situation is different, each person..... hah. But then I am back at the top of the circle.....
So then I want to draw from my own personal experiences...
I have done both.... and I have done neither. I have failed in a bad situation, thrived in one worse. I have blossomed in daisies and gladly walked away from a treasure chest and again.... back to the beginning of the query.

I suppose it is a philosophical theory with no right or wrong.

Or is there?
